Thermage is another non-invasive procedure that we can use to tighten and contour our skin. Thermage works by targeting collagen in our skin, stimulating new growth, and thus achieving the desired effect. These effects serve to give you a smoother, more youthful appearance wherever treatment is delivered. 

The treatment works using radiofrequency technology to promote new collagen growth and tighten the skin. It reaches all skin layers, which makes it effective for numerous body areas. In fact, we can use this procedure in several locations, such as the face, eyelids, hands, neck, various body parts, etc. 

Thermage has a unique feature to keep you completely comfortable during the procedure. While the treatment tip heats the underlying layers of skin, it simultaneously cools the surface of the skin. This not only keeps the patient comfortable during the procedure, it also protects the outer layers of skin from damage

Thermage® treatments are all about energy – focusing radiofrequency energy to kick start the body’s own natural renewal process. Thermage FLX is a proven radiofrequency treatment that transforms skin by working below the surface and addresses a wide range of surface imperfection. The tip of the applicator gently touches your skin and delivers non-invasive radiofrequency energy into your body, the smoothing of wrinkly or uneven skin, better definition of facial features around the eyes, jaw and neckline, and even the smoothing and toning of unsightly bulges, dimples and wrinkles on the face and body. It is helping to remodel existing collagen and producing new collagen for an overall younger-looking appearance. Clinical research shows that Thermage® might also deliver immediate skin tightening.

That rationalizes the saying of the Thermage’s producer of 600 shots of the Thermage FLX equals to 900 shots of the Thermage CPT. Yet, the 4th edition of the Thermage FLX also provides the same size of tips as the Thermage CPT, for better operation of the treatment for patients with a small face. If the dermatologist adopts the Thermage FLX 3.0 tip, the patient will need to have 900 shots like the past. However, there are worries that some skin clinics use misleading marketing strategies in the purpose of making the prices of the Thermage FLX look more attractive. 

The 2nd upgrade will be pain control. The Thermage FLX has the new functions of Pulse RF and Cooling burst to disturb the signals of pain, minimizing the pain that may cause during the energy transfer during the treatment. From now on, Thermage treatment will be a more comfortable and pleasant treatment.

The 3rd upgrade will be the automatic energy-adjusted. The Thermage FLX has a shot optimization algorithm technology that makes maximizes the effect of the procedure.
